VACCINE AGAINST MACHISM

Theatrical sketch and social debate with the audience present and participants from Sweden (virtually), around violence against women, femicides and gender sensationalism. The Sketch is an alliance between Mans Centrum (Stockholm), and the collective “New Masculinities of Southwestern Antioquia” (Venice, Antioquia).

EVENT 3

THE NIGHT CULTURAL FESTIVAL IN KORPILOMBOLO

Literary panel on the origin and work of the “Night Festival” in Korpilombolo (Sweden). This event was founded in 2004 around the now legendary figure “Gaspar of the night”, the character through which León de Greiff (1895-1976) channeled his unconditional veneration for the nocturnal. Every year, between December 1-13, writers, philosophers, playwrights, visual artists, musicians, filmmakers, etc., from many parts of Europe and other nations of the world, gather in Korpilombolo (above the Arctic Circle), to deliberate and present to the public their works on the topic “The Night” in science and universal culture. The conversation will be led by a work team made up of teachers and students associated with the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences, and the Magazine “Social Sciences and Education” of the University of Medellín; It will be directed by Hilderman Cardona, campus educator. During the conversation the so-called “Three in One Oil Divorce” will be addressed: Matías Aldecoa and Leo Legris leave for Bredunco, in Bolombolo, on the banks of the Cauca River; while Gaspar of the Night flees to Korpilombolo, above the Arctic Circle. The panel will feature the participation from Sweden (via virtual mode) of Julián Vásquez Lopera (Stockholm University), a renowned researcher of León de Greiff’s work.

IN THE WORLD OF COLLECTIVE ENTITIES

Literary panel organized by the work team associated with the Magazine “Social Sciences and Education” of the University of Medellín. It will have the presence of the writer and researcher Luis Fernando Macías (University of Antioquia), who will present his latest works on the “Philosopher from another part”, Fernando Gonzales, his relationship with León de Greiff.

Literary conversation around the anthology “The intérmina parabola. “Leon de Greiff and the night”. Volume recently published by the EAFIT University of Medellín (2023). Compilation and study, Julián Vásquez Lopera. The discussion will be with the work team associated with the Magazine “Social Sciences and Education” of the University of Medellín; It will be directed by Hilderman Car-dona, campus educator. It will feature the participation of prominent experts on the work of León de Greiff. The event must include reading poems.

ANCESTRAL KNOWLEDGE IN HEALTH

Anthropological and intercultural panel on “Ancestral Medicine”. It will have the participation of one or two shamans who are members of the Karmata Rua Indigenous Reservation from the Embera indigenous community (Municipalities of Jardín and Andes). Topic: Stress and its negative and positive effects on the individual and society.”  The panel will be led by William Álvarez Gaviria, an otorhinolaryngologist, professor at the University of Antioquia, former professor at the CES University, and researcher of medical and social conditions connected to the problem of Stress.

40 YEARS AFTER THE NOVEL PRIZE TO GARCÍA MÁRQUEZ

Conversation (Virtual Mode) around the book by Gabriel García Márquez. 40 years after the Nobel Prize. Readings from Sweden and Colombia (Universidad del Valle, Cali, 2022: editor Julián Vásquez Lopera, Juan Moreno Blanco). VIRTUAL VISIT TO THE NOBEL PRIZE MUSEUM IN STOCKHOLM

The tour will have the following characteristics: Alfred Nobel and the five categories of the Nobel Prize; Presentation of some of the museum’s most valuable documents; The Nobel Prize and Gabriel García Márquez Museum. The program will be in Spanish and will be led by Mrs. Martha Bojassen.  Note: Pre-recorded video.

Presentation of the trailer of the Colombian-Swedish film “All my trips are return trips”, currently in the editing process. Conversation with film directors Manuel Ponce and Cesar Alejandro Jaimes, on the topic León de Greiff and Sweden.

EVENT 12

THE COLOMBIAN DIASPORA IN SWEDEN

Performance and artistic exhibition: “All the dreams jump, one by one – Here I am (say-ce).  Cheer up!”. The staging will be in charge of Anne Elizabeth Magnusson Saldarria-ga (graduate in Hispanic Studies, University of Gothenburg, Sweden). He is currently a master’s student at the Fundación Universitaria Bellas Artes, in Medellín. The performance will have as its starting point the historiographic and surrealist backgrounds of the “Poemilla de Bogislao”, by León de Greiff. The event will be accompanied by a discussion (in virtual mode) directed from Sweden by Javier Charry, interviewer for the “Truth Commission”, a psychologist with a diploma from Stockholm University, a therapist and a specialist in psychosocial intervention.

COLOMBIAN MIGRANTS AND PUBLIC HEALTH IN SWEDEN

Conversation (virtual mode) by Daniel Coral, postdoctoral researcher in Medicine at the State University of Lund (southern Sweden), and Soley Tatiana Moreno Nicholls, Master in Public Health (Lund University) and member of the group “HAMAKA, Latinamerikansk Förening” in Scandia”. PROTECTING BIODIVERSITY IN ANTIOQUIA

Presentation of the Colombian-Swedish project Science, Environmental Technology and agroindustrial innovation Hogar Juvenil Campesino de Urrao. This project is currently in the international consulting process in Sweden and some member countries of the European Union. It is also a scientific proposal that emanates from the clauses of the “Twinning Agreement” of the “Twinning Agreement” signed in December 2011 between the towns of Pajala/Korpilombolo (Norrbotten, Sweden) and Bolombolo/Venecia (Antioquia, Colombia). The presentation and explanation of the agroindustrial scope of the project will be given by John Didier Ruiz Buitrago, dean of the Faculty of Animal Science at the CES University.

Natalia Calderón Rivera, doctoral student at the WMU, will address the topics: “Scientific profile of academic studies at The World Maritime University, and “Barriers and possible solutions for the sustainable development of river transport along the Magdalena River.” Sebastián Suárez-Lee (Master in Maritime Affairs) will discuss the topic “Port administration and development of maritime transport in harmony with the environment, human talent and information technologies.”
